Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were ready before official check-in time, which was convenient, but they were too small and could get noisy, especially if near the function room with live music late at night. The service was excellent overall, with very friendly staff and good value for money. The location was superb for exploring the area, but there were some issues with street noise and the inability to close the window. The dining was a bit hit or miss, with some meals being very good and others just okay.
The hotel rooms were really lovely and offered a perfect size with plenty of room. However, it can be a bit noisy, especially if you are above the function room where live music is played very late. I truly enjoyed my stay and didn't want to leave.
The hotel is a quaint little gem with a fantastic location right in the heart of the town, offering a good value for money stay. I enjoyed the old-fashioned feel of the hotel and the breathtaking views it offered, making it a place I would definitely return to for future visits.
Staying at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were nicely decorated and provided a good night's sleep despite the heat and lack of noise intrusion, but the view from the main street was less than appealing with kitchen extractor fans. The service was friendly and efficient, making my stay comfortable, and the dining options were satisfactory. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the town, albeit a bit quiet on the day I visited. However, the rooms looked shabby and not as advertised online.
I had a delightful stay at the hotel. The rooms were lovely presented and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the free parking was convenient. The breakfast was great, but the room looked older than expected and could use two comfortable armchairs.
The hotel offers a mix of positives including spacious and very clean rooms with excellent facilities but also some drawbacks like the need for a refurbishment on certain older ones. The service was friendly but under pressure due to managing various duties. The location is lovely, situated by the picturesque Ilen river in the beautiful town of Skibbereen, although it turns quiet like a ghost town after 6 pm. The dining experience had its highs and lows with some dishes of the highest standard and others coming off as less fresh. Overall, it's a place with potential but needing improvements in certain areas.
